I made this sweater as a 4-H project for Waukesha county fair. Overall it went very well, and the pattern was very easy to follow. I opted out of using roving yarn and a size 10.5 k crochet hook and got the correct gauge by using a size 15 n with wool ease worsted weight yarn. I used forest green heather. It looks great!
It was a fun first project. You don't have to be an expert at reading patterns to make this cardigan. Hope you try it!
Have fun.

I just finished mine and b/c of the reviews stating this sweater runs small I made a large versus a medium and it fits quite nicely. I used Vanna's choice yarn in linen it took me 7 skeins, but I didn't use too much of the 7th. I probably could have skimmed by with 6, but it's better to be safe now than sorry later. Mine is also longer than the one pictured, but I am happy with it. Overall I think the pattern was quite easy to follow and worked up really nice.

I just finished this sweater. It definitely runs small. I wear a small and think I'd need a large with this pattern. The small that I just made fits my 7 year old! It is super cute and VERY easy to make.

I made this for my friend and she loved it! She got a lot of compliments and one of her co-workers asked me to make one for her and her daughter. They really enjoyed them! Great pattern. Easy to follow and quick to make!

This is FABULOUS!!!!! I made it under three weeks. It is soft, easy and fast. The pattern runs a little small, so I made the medium. LOVE the color and the style. Thanks Lion Brand!!!

I again adapted this to my own liking, adding a collar, buttons and using a quartz homespun yarn that I found warm, and cozy, and very versatile for all occasions. It worked up quickly, and I will do others in various types of yarns! Please check out my website: http://sewcrochetions.com
