I liked the idea of this bag. I couldn't find 100% wool yarn so I used a combination yarn and didn't do felting. Since I didn't do that I had to adjust the length of the 1st chain to make the opening smaller. I thought in instructions were a bit vague and ended up using a combination of this and the zen bag. I also sewed one row in the middle of the bag to make it easier to fold and prevent things from falling out when the yoga mat was not in place. Overall it is a cool idea but took a lot longer then I expected due to the single crochet. If I was to do it again I might do a double crochet instead.

I really liked the storage capability of this bag. My first felting experience ... correct width but no change in length. It looks great and I'm sure my yoga classmates will ask me to make them all one too! I'll try different colours for sure. stripes of different widths would also be a fun alternative.

It's a really cute pattern. I like the way the inside part of the bag goes all the way to the other end so you can stuff gear on both sides. I have never felted before and it was a success. I think I made my stitches a little too tight though. The finished measurements of my bag is way smaller than the pattern says it should be. I like felting...I'll probably try it again with some different colors and loosen up my grip!! ;-)
