I had so much trouble with this and
Lion brand helped. I thought I was a intermediate knitter but I guess not. I just had trouble understanding the
Pattern and mine looked nothing like the photo. I have found a easier vest pattern that I will try.

Nice cable pattern. Following reviews of others, I decided to make it longer. I made the bottom seed stitch 2 1/2 inches long using size 11 needles. I made it a size medium with cast on stitches but made the armholes the XL size. The seed stitch around the neck and armholes was using the XL sizing and I did three rows instead of two. This gave more armhole room and made it longer. I used Barley for my yarn and now making another in navy. When you pick up stitches for the neck and armholes, remember to pick up an uneven number to keep the seed stich smooth with the circular needles.

Very nice vest, easy for a beginner in cables. I extended by one cable repeat.

Used Barley for the body, Grass green and cream for the cable. Came out nice! My kids don't like it though. Great pattern. Added another set of the cable pattern as the top was too short otherwise.

This was my first cable experience and I was so happy with the finished product. The instructions were easy to follow and I learned alot. I have more yarn and will make another vest soon. Thank you, Julie

I have made this & it came out lovely. Very quick to make. Perfect for someone who is starting out with cabled patterns. Easy to extend the length by repeating the cable section a few more times.

This is a very fun and easy to follow pattern. I made it over a snowy weekend.

I made this vest (in Cilantro) and it is fabulous! The design is very stylish, and the instructions are accurate and very easy to follow. I liked the cable so much I also put one up the back. What a fun, quick, beautiful project!
