Love this pattern. Such a great way to use up all that Sportweight Lion Brand Yarn. I like to embellish with buttons, beads, embroidery, charms to really dress up this pattern. Makes such a nice gift for Christmas and other holidays.

I think this idea of charcole in the shoes is a great idea my grand daughters are always looking for ideas for christmas gifts to make and some times it is hard to find some thing t make for men .. They can make these for grandfathers dads uncles and use a dark yarn .Everyone can use fresh smelling shoes! Thanks for the extra idea for these, easy to make little sachets!

As an alternative use I think that they would be good filled with charcoal for putting into shoes as fresheners.I guess that they could be used for many things, really.
