Button Scarf Reviewed by Jane Schaefermeyer on 2010-09-27 ****
I'm still in the process of knitting this scarf. After completing about 30 rows, I found it was rolling inward. Since I'm a beginner, I did a little research online and found a solution. I ripped it all out and cast on 26 stitches instead of 20. I knitted the first three rows and then began the pattern, but I added three knit stitches at the beginning and end of each row. No more rolling and it looks great! The extra knit stitches on the ends keep the scarf nice and flat. Love it.

Since knitting is still knew to me, I decided to try this pattern. I love it. It was easy to follow. I didn't want it as wide & didn't put any buttons on it but I love how it turned out. Not too heavy or stiff, just wonderful!

tried to make this scarf 3 times, using 3 different weights of yarns - very disappointed - sides rolled in no matter what - looked terrible.

It rolled in and even after blocking did not lay properly. In addition it was too thick and cumbersome. Liked the pattern design and maybe with a lighter weight yarn it would work up better.

disappointed in scarf. Pattern itself is nice, but my scarf turns in, does not lay flat and after putting the crochet edge around it, the scarf itself just feels too heavy.

I tried a different color and I loved it. I did it in cream and the out line in a forest green, and it turned out great. And it only took me a day to make it. The stitch is very simple and quick.

I loved the finished scarf. The directions were easy to follow and the project went quick. I did leave the buttons off because I didn't want my long hair caught on them.
