Lacey Blues Throw Reviewed by Blythe Quelin on 2011-09-02 *****
I love this pattern! I made it in Tudor the first time and completely love how it turned out. I had lots of yarn left over, so I made 25 squares instead of 20. Then, of course, I had to go out and buy an extra ball of yarn, but it wasn't a big deal as dye lot isn't crucial with the painterly yarns.

I don't have the patience to sew squares together, so it took me a year between finishing the squares and sewing the afghan together. The second time, I did only 16 squares and crocheted them together as I went along. The extra rounds from crocheting the squares together made the second afghan big enough and used up all the yarn.

I think I've figured out a way to make this crocheting the squares together but without using as much extra yarn, so I should be able to do the next one with 20 squares according to the pattern.

The pattern is great, some minor errors that were easy to figure out. I had to do one square in normal yarn - just to learn the pattern. The homespun is very hard to crochet, I'll have to try again with a bigger hook now that I know what the block is supposed to look like.

Soothing colors, easy pattern Reviewed by Jane Kamper on 2008-06-05 *****
I made this throw for my Aunt and she loves it. The colors in the yarn are so soothing and homespun of course is so soft. I love the picot edging in this pattern. It gives the throw just the right touch.
