I thoroughly enjoyed knitting this pattern. Will probably do another one. Cables are always a joy for me and I liked the style of this particular cable done in a horizontal design. The yarn (so soft & warm) gives the pattern good weight so that the finished product hangs beautifully. The only changes I made were to knit the neck long enough to fold over for a turtle neck & I also omitted the fringe. I hate to admit that I have outgrown fringe. Next project will be a matching hat.

Wonderful pattern, I had a fun time knitting it. Looks good, one of my favorites.

Great pattern, loved it. I made it in taupe, and it is wonderful to pop on when weather gets cool & breezy. Perfect for New Mexico weather. Easily washable. I get lots of compliments & now 3 people I know are making it. I came up just a little short on the yarn quantity, and ordered 2 extra skeins a little late in the game, which was more than enough to finish all the fringe & collar. I would order an extra skein or two to be safe, and if you have a bit extra for a scarf that's great.

I made this fisherman's poncho in pumpkin. All I can say is, it will keep you WARM. If you tend to be the warmblooded type you might want to try a pattern that uses lighter weight yarn. As the pattern goes, it was super easy and looked very good when it was done. I get compliments on it every time I wear it.

The direction were easy to follow. The poncho is heavier and much warmer than it looks. The directions for the fringe were clear also. I was very happy with the results.
