VERY PRETTY TO MAKE. I USED LION BRAND JIFFY YARN IN GOLD AND ELPASO, I ALSO ADDED A THIRD COLOR IN WINE. I ALSO ADDED TWO MORE STRIPS ON THE END IN THE WINE COLOR AND IT LOOKS GREAT NEXT TO THE GOLD. GREAT PROJECT!!!!!!

Have made several of these using my own color combinations: prairie backround with alternating squares of candy red, fawn, and grape. Also made a black backround with wine squares which I then "outlined" with an olive crochet chain for a contemporary look. This looks so much more complicated than it is to work and it's a great project to work on the go.

I knitted this throw using Vanna's Choice yarn instead. I used 9 skeins of black and 2 of magenta. I also changed the needle size to #9 to get the proper gauge. I love it!!!

I made this in maroon and white for my daughter and she loved it! It was very easy to make and put together.

I did this in cream and a varigated color (instead of the red). It turned out beautiful. A lot of sewing to sew all the strips together, but worth it in the end.
