I started to knit this sweater for my niece, but found the yarn so difficult to work with that I gave up. The pattern worked fine, although I changed the seed stitch to garter stitch. The yarn was the problem. It wants to bunch up onto itself instead of knitting flat. You end up with a wad of yarn that you have to stretch out every couple rows. I've knit sweaters with other brands of Homespun yarn and did not have this problem.

I've made 2 of these - wonderfully warm!! My only caution - they end up pretty heavy if you carry them anywhere.

I have made this for 3 friends and they came out lovely. Very flattering for all ages and sizes.

I made myself one of these with a discontinued color (Mission) which I absolutely love. The only reason I don't give it a 5 rating is that the yarn eventually pills and I would make some changes if I make it again.

It's way too long and I would make the collar and front pieces wider, but otherwise it makes a terrific fall jacket. (I also added a belt.)

Wonderful cozy sweater and fun to knit. Be aware that the weight of the jacket may stretch it out slightly.
