I AM A SLOW KNITTER BUT I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED MAKING THIS AFGHAN, IT IS A PLEASURE TO KNIT AND EXCITING WHEN YOU PUT IT ALL TOGETHER, I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GIVE IT A TRY, I MADE IT FOR MY DAUGHTER FOR HER HOPE CHEST AND SHE LOVES IT.

I also loved this pattern. To get through the seed stitch squares, I would start them with a separate ball of yarn and on the same needle as a cable pattern. This way it wasn't so tiresome.

I adore this pattern! I'm making my second one now - just about halfway through it. Each of my sisters is going to get one in a different color. It's the perfect change of pace. Every time I master a stitch, I get to move on to a new one. The 6 blocks of seed stitching are killers but I found that keeping that on a separate set of needles allowed me to put it down whenever I couldn't stand it and move to one of the exciting cable designs. I'll post my photo of the second one when I complete it. The first was in eggshell white but this one is blue.
