I love these slippers. They took me only a night to make while I was watching TV, and they are very comfortable. I had to add an extra round of hdc around the outside so that they would fit, but that was probably just because I generally crochet too tight. After seeing that they didn't stay on my feet very well, I threaded a strand of the leftover yarn through the slippers around my ankles to act as a drawstring. It was hidden by the flap, so everything worked out all right. :)

This is such a fast and easy project. I have made them for several members of my family. The first pair I made was for me, just to see if they would work and if they would be hard to walk in. They are very warm and I have been wearing mine for about 3 years. They do not slip very easily on hard surfaces and they are great to wear when you are covering up with your afghans. Other hard soled shoes and slipped always get snagged on the afghans. These are perfect and they are so quick to make. I use a contrasting color for the edging.

I love these Pixie slippers! I made them with Wool yarn and felted them. Soooo Warm!
I also found the toes were long and pointed, so I folded the tip back to fit and tacked it on top of the foot.
Now they look like elf shoes!!
