I've made this pattern 4 times now. The stocking turns out very cute and it's not a difficult project. I do think there are some issues with the way it is written, more specifically having to do with the heel. I think it could be written a little more clearly and I think there is an extra stitch referenced in row 3 of the heel. It says "SC in next 7 sts", but there are only 6. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or just not understanding the pattern correctly. Anyway, I just add an extra SC in the last stitch of the row and then I'm back on track. Other than the heel I don't have any other problems with the way the pattern is written.

The toe is a little too pointy. And I thought the general size of the stocking turned out too small.
Its so plain that it would be fun to add a slight frill to the cuff -- add a 9th row and ch2, slip st in first 2 stitches, ch2, slip st in next 2 sts (repeat this till the end) then fasten off.
The directions are easy enough to follow. The heel took a little figuring out but not too bad.

My stocking turned out cute but the directions for the heel are terribly confusing. My confusion came from this "sc in next st on side of sts just worked". Maybe for seasoned crocheters this is easy to understand but I finally got it right. The "sts just worked" are referring to the "last and first 9 sts of Top" stitches. Basically you are connecting the heel back and forth as you go and it will make a heel shape when finished. Good luck.

This is a very easy pattern to make. I did not use the suggested colors, but it turned out beautiful! Lionbrand yarn and their patterns are the best on the web!

Easy to follow directions up to the heel - First time making a stocking and I'm having a terrible time with that part. It's a fast pattern to follow otherwise. Recommend it!

Directions for heel are a little hard to follow, but I did it and it came out cute!
