Ripple Scarf & Hat Reviewed by Carol Washington on 2011-02-12 ****
Quite easy to make. I made 2 hats in about 4 hours. Chenille is hard to fine anymore so I used LB Hometown USA yarn. The hat is stiffer but still flops. I couldn't find the picture. But it is cute also.

I didn't understand the BPSC and FPSC stitch directions, so I had to go online for those. I made two hats and neither one looked quite like the one pictured (btw, the bpsc and fpsc are very important, didn't do that the first time). Aside from that it wasn't too bad. And the random round connections were a little confusing at times but it turned out really cute.

I made this hat when it first came out as the patttern on the yarn. I always have a problem with getting overheated when I wear hats but by using the bigger hooks it seems to allow just enough "hot air" as my husband says to escape that the hat is very comfortable to wear. I am still getting compliments years later.

I made this several years ago and it was a great, quick project. The hat is fun and slouchy without being sloppy and I got tons of compliments on it whenever I wore it. I added another third to the length of the scarf before I was happy with it, but I also like my scarves to be quite long.

The Thick and Quick chenille did start to worm pretty badly and got very threadbare after a while, but I got quite a bit of mileage out of it (3 New England winters) before having to retire the set.

I am planning on making the hat again, though this time in something that will hopefully be a bit more durable.

The Scarf Reviewed by apryl orr on 2008-04-04 *****
This scarf is really simple.
I needed something cute and quick for a birthday present and after a lot of searching i chose this one. The only bad thing is this purple is hard to work with, i would advise a brighter color. The scarf came out great and the person i made it for loved it.
I would highly recommend this scarf to anyone needing something quick and cute.(this project took several hrs.)
