I am almost done with this project and I agree that it was not easy. It was moderately difficult, as written, to know what was meant by all the instructions. In addition, even though I checked my gauge, the sleeves are FAR too short for a 4 year old and I've looked the pattern over twice to see if I made a mistake somewhere.

I found the sweater pieces easy to make. New to sweater making the assembly proved challenging. However, my son loves his handmade sweater so much I can't get it off him!

The 1 1/4" arm hole is not the arm hole but the front neck shaping. I have made it, just have to sew it up. I used a cream colour but kept the red, green and yellow since they are Hudson Bay colours.

I will post a picture when I have finishe it.

I found it easy and the 1 1/4 inch armhole is the front neck, not the sleeve.

While this pattern looks simple, it is far from it. I can't figure out how a 1 1/4" armhole on only the front is supposed to fit my grandson who is going on 3 years old. The size of the sleeve is also weird so I am trying to wing it myself and will post an update about my success or failure.

As I have also changed the colors, I will post pictures when it is done. The change was made because I can't imagine a white jacket on my grandson. I am making it in a tan color with blue and cream striping.
