I started on this pattern - the KNITTED star - but ran into troubles with the written directions matching the charts. Until, that is, I realized page 3 - the one with the three charts - is for the CROCHETED version.

if you make the KNITTED star, DON"T use page 3. The KNITTED chart has 112 rows, the CROCHET chart has 88. They don't match.

Now I'm off to ravel and start over! :/

Ok, I am working on the knitted version (supposed to be for 3-6 months) and it is showing sizing for 0-3 months?? What a size difference this would be! Now, I find the crochet pattern! WOOHOO!! "Shows changes for 3-6 months in parantheses" uhhh, WHERE???? Not there at all! Disappointed in lack of consistency here, but the knitted version is working out. Just glad the baby is not already here or he might outgrow it before finished.

Knitted Dancing Star Baby Bunting Reviewed by Robin Castle on 2011-02-11 ****
It's hard to give the pattern a rating but I decided on 4 star because I was successful, although I changed the pattern significantly as I went along.

I found the directions a bit hard to follow, even as an advanced beginner. I used the measurements given, and counted the rows, modifying to add stitches to make the bunting more proportionate to both a star and a baby's arms. I knitted the back in one piece, but added a rim for the hood as a separate piece, and then knitted right and left front pieces to overlap more on a diagonal than as the flap is pictured. The baby I knitted this for isn't born yet, but those who saw the design loved it and asked for one. I don't know if I'm up to that just yet...but when I'm ready I'm sure that I will enjoy it and have an easier time.
