Knitted up very quickly and surprisingly easily. A very enjoyable knit. Looks beautiful too.

I enjoyed the challenge of this project that I made it again to donate to my churches Chirstmas fair in November. The pattern was very easy to follow and the results are very satisfying. I recommend it.

The posted picture does not do justice to this stunningly beautiful and distinctive afghan. When my daughter-in-law saw the results she said it was so beautiful that it should be framed! Moreover, the afghan is fun & interesting to knit. Like the previous reviewers, I feel that all you need is a basic knowledge of how to do cables & some patience. Just follow the directions.

This was actually my first afghan. As the previous reviewer said, I agree - all you really need is some basic cable experience and a lot of patience. My craft store didn't supply the needed yarn, but they did have Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, so I used that instead, Fisherman color. There are only 108 yards in each ball so I had to get more than 9, but the blanket still turned out great. At first I was going to leave the border off to save yarn, but I ended up putting it on and I think it really adds the finishing touch.
A great project. You get used to the patterns very quickly. Made a great gift.

This is a really beautiful pattern--just be sure to look up the corrections before you start!! If you have even basic experience with cables, you should do fine with this. It's not as intimidating as it might look. Instead of the chunky yarn I knitted this with 2 strands of Wool Ease on size 13 needles. It came out a little bigger than the size in the directions, but I really like it. I gave it to a good friend as a gift, and I might make another for myself. It's very impressive looking!!
