I agree with everything the other 2 ladies said. I made a small for my 18 yr old granddaughter and it came out very big even though I adjusted the front amount of stitches down by 4 because the back came out so large. I also shortening the sleeves by 1 inch and inc like the first lady suggested. The only trouble I had was doing the buttonholes, but eventually got the hang of them. It was a Christmas present and my granddaughter loved it! She gets praises whenever she wears it!

A very heavy, roomy and warm sweater. I made the 1X, took me 5 tries on the sleeve to get it right. The pattern calls for 92 stitches across the top, but 76 worked fine. I increased the stitches, one on each end, every 6 rows. I could have shortened the length of the sleeve by 3" as the length is way too long, and it still would be a bulky sweater. I did learn new ways to make pockets and button holes. I made 9 button holes, but 7 or 8 would work fine.

Nice pattern, pretty easy. Beautiful result. This is more of a jacket than a sweater. Finished result is a little large, but OK. I used a very nice wool and now have a sweater that is quite heavy and very warm. Tricky pockets; the pattern just says to remove the CC yarn when starting the pockets. Be careful to put all the stiches on a holder as you remove the CC yarn or you will lose them.
