Lion Brand Yarn Crafts Three Unique Deathly Hallows Inspired by the Movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
In honor of the final installation of the Harry Potter movie franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Lion Brand Yarn Company has created a one of a kind craft pattern set for the three "Deathly Hallows".
Manhattan, New York-- July 12, 2011-- In honor of the final installation of the Harry Potter movie franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Lion Brand Yarn Company has created a one of a kind craft pattern set for the three "Deathly Hallows". Those who have followed the series know that knitting has been a prevalent hobby throughout, as displayed through sweaters, hats, gloves and the infamous Hogwarts house scarves in the colors representing Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Even Albus Dumbledore, the revered headmaster of Hogwarts, proclaimed to love knitting patterns in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. To celebrate Harry Potter and the joys of knitting, Lion Brand created patterns for each of the "Deathly Hallows", each using a different craft. Inspired by the Resurrection Stone, a ring was crocheted using Vanna's Glamour yarn with the "Deathly Hallows" symbol embroidered on it. A knitted capelet, inspired by the Invisibility Cloak, was also designed using Vanna's Glamour yarn. Lastly, the Elder Wand served as the foundation for a crafted wand in Vanna's Choice yarn. All of these patterns are free and can be found at LionBrand.com. Combining her love of yarncrafts with her love of Harry Potter, Michelle Urcuyo, manager of the Lion Brand Yarn Studio retail store & education center in New York City, designed the Capelet of Invisibility. She said, "For all of us who are fans of the books, we know that there's the world that opens up inside your head as you read and no two visions are alike. My version of the invisibility cloak is not the same as the one in the book but it pays homage to what I see in my mind's eye each time I return to Hogwarts." Lion Brand yarns can be purchased through major craft retailers, as well as at LionBrand.com. About Lion Brand Yarn Company: Founded in New York City, Lion Brand Yarn Company is a 133 year-old brand and America's oldest hand-knitting yarn brand.
