Pound of Love for those in need

My sister-in-law is a Dominican Nun and lives in New York City. They take care of terminally ill patients and she mentioned a shortage of bed covers (blankets). The ones they have are all "dull" and "plain" according to my sister-in-law. Therefore, I began knitting throws and covers as I watched TV in the evening. I told my mother what I was doing and she got involved with my project.

So far, we have knitted 14 covers to date and are working on 12 more. I guess I'll keep making them until they say, WHOAAAAA. I use various colors of "Pound of Love" yarn as to make it soft and warm for the very ill patients. We use different colors to make them bright and cheery. Several of the patients have written letters and sent photos thanking me and my mother for our gifts. One is attached.

As far as the local media, no one around here knows about this project.
