Care Squares

For the past few years, I have picked up knitting again and I joined a knitting group at my librery. The instructor in our group is older and has 2 daughters who she talked about alot. She told us that one of her daughters had started a program called Care Squares, but I didn't know what it was about. The next week I came to the group, the instructor's daughter was running a small party and invited me to join. This party was for everyone who had knitted "care squares", which I soon learned were made into blankets and givin to a charity called the Hanna House, which houses women who have come out of jail. The instructor's daughter, whose name is Margie, was telling about when she went to deliver the blankets, how moving it was. She also helped teach some of the women to knit. She said that the woman were so happy about reciving the blankets that they were reduced to tears. After that, I really wanted to be part of this great project.
