Angels for hope

hello, my name is shelley. I have been crocheting for about 3yrs.

I recently joined a group called "Angels for Hope". We crochet angels, butterflies and smiley faces for people in need of hope. We also have a 100th birthday club. We send butterflies or birthday cards to individuals that have reached 100 years old. The individual and their families are very appreciative and delighted to receive them. It really brightens their day.

I found out about the group in the Crochet magazine. I enjoy crocheting for other people because it really makes them feel good to know that you created something just for them and it really makes me feel good to know that I can do that. I spend about 2 hours a week on this charity. I don't the exact number of people that we have helped, but there are now 719 individuals in this group.

I would like to tell other crocheters that this really does brighten someone's day and it makes you feel good inside. It's not the size of the project that matters to the individual, it's that you cared enough to make it special for them.

If anyone is interested in joining this group, all they have to do is go to angelsforhope.org.

Thank you.
