Windchime Blanket 2
Created By: M Megan
Pattern Source: other:
This blanket is inspired from the pattern for the Windchime Afghan here: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L0057AD.html?noImages=. I crochet'd the strips as the pattern indicated, but instead of attatching with chain zig-zag, I attatched the strips with single crochet all on one side, and added some more color strips.
Memorizing the pattern for each strip did not take long, and neither does making the strips themselves. As this was a first afghan for me, it was fun picking out the various colors, and I think it seemed less time consuming as I was able to swiftly change over to working a new color once a strip was finished, which seemed to keep me going more strongly than trying to keep count of dozens of rows on a singly large piece of work.
I took the color that I was working on at whatever time to almost anywhere I went where if I thought I'd have some free time, I'd pull this out and work it. So it's not as if I only sat and worked this at home, these strips have been many places with me.
