Pattern Source: other:

Two Bikinis, one halter, a skirt and cover up. Taken from a Vintage French magazine, a Vintage British designer and a current craft book called Fashionista, or something to that affect. I totally changed up the skirt because the pattern had too little coverage for my taste. I will wear the skirt not just at the beach. The waist band started off with more rows than the modeled picture showed so I just adapted the whole pattern to suit my taste. The top above was made to pattern instructions and so far is a favorite cover for the summer.
The yellow bikini is from a vintage French magazine. I am replacing a bikini I wore for over 10 years from this magazine. This is the first time I made this pattern and I was able to stick to the pattern instructions with one extra row added to hold my one slightly larger breast.
The tri-color is a teeny weeny thing I dare not wear out in public but was still fun to make and wear on occasion.
I make bikinis cause I live in the Sunshine state.
My only advice is make sure to test swatch all your yarn before you start. (Yadda yadda) as the lighter color yarn in the tri color changed after washing whereas the black and red held their color. So I thought I was safe w/the lighter color but ain't it the way. That I find is a big problem with swim wear. It isn't really for swimming. But sometimes we do like to sit in a hot tub. Or go to the bar as I saw in a piccy on London News Now recently.
