Mutated hot pot holder! I was using up a bit of left over yarn to make a hot pot holder when my then 3 year old asked if I was making something for her. I didn't have the heart to tell her no. This would have been the third or fourth time that I would have been working on something that she took interest in that wouldn't have been for her. So I said yes, and quickly figured out a way to turn a hot pot holder into a toddler's hat. Now almost 5, she has outgrown it, but her favorite baby doll now wears it constantly.
