Town & Country Poncho

Craft: crochet
Materials: I used Lion Brand Jiffy in denim with Jiffy multi-colored border. Jiffy yarn makes up quick and soft, and is easy to work with. Very beautiful yarn, and I'm using it more and more for afghans.

The pattern for this poncho was suggested for our church knit/crochet group (Samaritans' Hands) as a hospital patient project. I made one also for a friend who is scheduled for colon cancer surgery in two weeks and she's thrilled with it. This pattern can be color/yarn modified for evening wear, and as modeled on the pattern, would be perfect to dress up by changing the color of the yarn. My first poncho, and I'll be crocheting others -- it is unbelievably simple and quick to make, and the color variations are endless. I'd recommend it to anyone!
