Hankie's Blankie

Our best friends have a beautiful baby mini-dachsund named Sir Hanns of Frankfurt who is so adorable and full of personality. He has immediately become a part of their family and goes everywhere with them. I wanted to make him a little blanket so he can have his own place to relax and kick back, whether he is at home or traveling with his human parents and two sisters, Ariel (9) and Haley (6). I usually prefer to knit, but decided that this project should be done in crochet for a little more stability. I followed your pattern for the "Royal Pet Afghan" using Homespun Edwardian and Metopolis for the squares and Black for the border, thinking it would have an elegant look. Besides, Hankie's parents have two black vehicles and the colors would look great with them, too. Hank loves his new afghan, which we call "Hankie's Blankie." Hankie's mom sent me some photos, which I am passing on to you. I hope you will add my project to your Customer's Gallery.
