I used the Owl Bib pattern on this site for the front of the owl. I made a solid color for the back to make it into a stuffed animal. I crocheted large triangles instead of circles for the wings. I made an extra panel from the bottom few rows of the pattern to make a pocket for the baby owl that I made in matching colors (just kind of made it up as I went). The baby owl is attached to the inside of the pocket by a chain. I also added a chain loop on the back of the owl's head. This was for those baby chain links. This was made as a gift for a friend's baby shower. Here is the link to the pattern:
