Felted Piano Scarf

Craft: knit
Materials: 100% Alpaca in very soft pink and black. The fiber recommends using 6 mm needles, and the pattern asks for 8 mm, so I doubled the strands.

My sister asked for a scarf, hat and gloves or mittens for Christmas. These were to match a gorgeous, black wool / cashmere Louis Feraud winter coat we bought her for her birthday last year. I decided to make the hat, and then found this incredible scarf pattern. I am very pleased with the results, and so is she!
It is important to trust the (corrected) pattern, as weird as it may appear at first. I believe, however, that the cast-on color is reversed.
The scarf will shrink considerably when it is felted, so it's important to make it the recommended length. And it turns beautifully.
