Materials: I used Wool-ease, one of my favorite yarns from Lion Brand. The color is Wheat and I really like the way it works up for work socks, looks great! I used #8 dpns.

I made these socks for my son Thom using my favorite pattern for big, comfy, wear to bed when it's cold socks. I've used this pattern numerous times and it's never failed me. It's a pattern I found online from Sally in Wales. http://wickedwoollens.blogspot.com/2008/08/quick-and-chunky-socks.html This pattern's great because there are great pictures of each step you need to take to make the socks. I reinforced the heel in this pair as Thom planned to wear them to work. I was really pleased with how the socks stood up to washing. They came out of the dryer even softer than they were when they went into the wash. My son loves them!
