Baby Blanket

I made a baby blanket for one of my oldest, dearest friends and his wife who, after many difficult years of trying to have a baby, adopted an adorable baby girl last summer. The pattern came from a baby afghan pattern book and is meant to evoke a hand tied quilt. Instead of a worsted weight yarn, I used Lion's Jiffy in the Daytona color because it seemed so soft and fun to work with. And instead of tying just a piece of yarn, like one would with a quilt, I made little pink satin bows and anchored them to the blanket with a yarn tail on the back. It turned out great!
