Temari Balls

Materials: Styrofoam balls of 3" diameter and Vanna's Glamor: 4 colors for Starburst, 3 colors for Square-Eye. Starburst: foundation wrap with Ruby Red, guidelines with Diamond, stars with Diamond, Topaz, and Platinum. Square-Eye: foundation wrap with Topaz, guidelines with Ruby Red, "eyes" with Ruby Red, then Topaz, then Diamond, then Ruby Red again.

I started with the first of the 3 designs, and found it simpler than the 2nd, and the 2nd to be simpler than the 3rd. So I do recommend working them in the order given in the pattern. These are quick to make, fun, and a nice change for the hands from the motions of knitting and crochet. Attractive results, too! Note that he foundation layer eats up a lot of yarn.
