made from Lion Brand Yarn.
I used the color scheme from the Striped Two-Color Crocheted Afghan Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Pattern #: 70406AD and the stitch from Sherri Bondy's afghan pattern. My friend Javier was working in Mexico on a natural gas drill rig. Despite surviving 10 Minnesota winters, he managed to catch a cold shortly after he started his new job. He called home to say, in a pathetically hoarse voice, that he was cold. I volunteered to make him a blanket. The color scheme is representative of the two of us holding hands--my pale, Scandinavian skin and his brown, work-roughened fingers.
