I wanted to make longies avoiding DPNs, and have them be super frilly. I had seen some tiered pants and thought, "I HAVE TO KNIT THAT!" These aren't quite big enough to go over cloth diapers (and sorry they aren't completely LBY yarn), but I plan to make a pair for her and my friend. The soft and airy LBY and other light worsteds are the best to use for these pants to have great drape. The pants are knit with smaller needles for the fold over waistband that has a hidden tie. Then, on the body, the smaller needle recommended, with one size up for the legs to make the fuller and drape well.
