I crocheted a poncho (not an original pattern, tho I did adapt it a bit) from the "Ponchos to Knit and Crochet" (I think). I made it from the light blue Thick and Quick Chenille and it's absolutely beautiful.
Everywhere I wear it, I get tons of compliments. I modeled it at the 2001 Washington DC Knit-Out & Crochet Too!. I even wore it a an "upscale" yarn shop where the clerk tried to tell me I made it from a much more expensive yarn they had there. I proudly said I made it from Lion Brand's Chenille Thick and Quick.
It was a great pattern, it worked up quickly and I don't know which was more fun, working on it or wearing it.
