I crocheted this checkerboard many years ago without a pattern. I used to just display it under the Christmas tree. My grandchildren recently asked me to make their families each one, which I did and wrote out the pattern as I worked. They love to play with it and i don't have to worry about them scratching my coffee table with it. They love it.
