Craft: knit
Materials: Red Heart super saver. I used dark blue for the purse and baby blue for the button and straps holder
Pattern Source: book: It's all in the bag
I had knitted this for my mom for christmas. I found the pattern at The Fabric Store in Portland.
I used 10 1/2 knitting needles
gauge: 12sts and 15rows+ 4in in pattern
To make the Purse:
CO 25sts.
K 2rows
Rows 3,5,7,9 K. inc 1st at each end-33sts at end of Row 9
Rows 4,6,8 K Rows 10-13 K begain Pattern
Rows 1,3,5 (wrong side) K3 P3 across
Rows 2 and EVERY RS ROW K
Rows 7,9,11 P3 K3 across
Row 12 K
Rep Rows 1-12 twice more. Top border: K 6 rows BO
FINISHING: Sew side and bottom seems. Handle Tabs (make 4)
CO 3sts K17 Rows. BO. Center handle at top of bag and mark placement of tapbs at each end of handle bar. Sew tabe in place over bar and over top 6 rows. BUTTON FLAP: CO 7sts K26 rows BO. Sew to center top of back; sew button to flap. BUTTON LOOP: CO 25sts BO. sew ends together; sew to front of eto emerge for unter the button flap.
