I make Shawls out of Homespun mostly. They are original designs and are woven on a loom. I warp on 5 yards, weave 3 feet and pull that off hte loom along with 3 more feet. Then I retie and weave 3 more feet. I take the original piece with the long 3 foot strings of warp and thread those back into the remaining warp, so it is actually warp threaded into warp. It makes very beautiful designs and doesn't leave a seam down the back. The last part is not real easy and takes some time. I also make panchos which is an easier weave. Just 2 straight pieces joined together down the back.
