I used this project for my mother's bday gift. She picked out the pattern and the yarn which is the Moonlight Mohair Purple Mountain. It was very easy and very fast; it took only four hours. This is a perfect weekend project. The poncho is light and comfortable to wear over a tight t-shirt indoors. It is a little retro and can be dressed up or dressed down with jeans. The yarn was difficult to come by as I tried to get it from my local yarn shop. The yarn is online only. After I placed my order, I didn't know for two days that they would not be able to get it. Then I ordered from lion brand, which shipped rather quickly. I just wish that online only yarn had free shipping or was cheaper. I used exactly three balls of yarn.
