Cotton Ease Poncho

My sister wanted a black poncho a year ago for a trip she was going on, but she couldn't find anything she liked in the department stores. She asked me if I would make her one. I used a granny square pattern I found on the internet (I think the name of it is "Tic Tac Toe") and Cotton Ease yarn. I made seven inch squares and sewed them all together and edged the top and bottom edges. I made the entire project in about two weeks working on it at night after work. I scaled out my pattern on graph paper (I have adrafting background) and worked from that. I made a total of twenty squares for this poncho. Everyone who has seen it has loved it because it is nothing like what you can find in the store.
