The pattern originally was for a baby blanket - a standard ripple - that I had made several times. Then I found the Thick & Quick Chenille and I was trying to find a pattern to use with it. My son suggested that I make the ripple pattern. Since the size of the hook was so much larger for the Chenille than for baby yarn (N vs. F) and the yarn itself is so much thicker, I used the same pattern and of course it is about 6 times as big! It is easy to do until near the end when it becomes very heavy. The colors of the Chenille are so rich that it really is a room decoration. I have now made it 3 times and right now I am making one as a wedding present. It is expensive to make but I believe they will end up being heirlooms.
