I made two of these vests for my 1-year-old and 3-year-old sons. I used Cotton Ease, as suggested in the pattern - I wanted something cool so they could be worn more often. I thought they were pretty easy. It was my first experience with cables and they were fun! I knitted the vest in sizes 2 and 4, slightly bigger than needed because I wanted them to fit longer. I wish I made the 4 a size 3 instead, because it was too wide. Also, I didn't have to worry about how long it would fit because I could easily make a new one! I really like how the blue vest turned out, but wasn't as pleased with the green one.
