Made for my sister's birthday, this shawl and sarong will work well at the beach and dinner and dancing as it is from absorbent kitchen cotton. It was not at all difficult once I understood the first few rows, and the extra two increases on the edges. I liked the idea of shells instead of fringe. So cool, like grandma's style only better. I am totally guessing about three to four evenings and about 700 to 800 yards of cotton yarn.
