This started as a stash-buster in Vanna's Choice Mustard and Pea Green. It was going to be a simple awning stripe cowl - I adore wide vertical stripes and use them on everything.
When I opened the drawer,the Dusty Purple happened to be lying across the top of the other two and my eyes just popped out WOW! I loved it!
I would NEVER have put these colors together on my own! Sometimes it pays to be messy and just toss your stash around to see what pops up.
The cowl is an easy side-to-side original construct of sc/hdc stitch (nice and thermal) with single crochet clusters. I also added a single crochet ruffle under the cluster row on the bottom to further keep those midwestern winter winds out.
The wristwarmers are sc rib stitch and a single crochet ruffle.
