Barbie Doll Sized Furniture
Created By: Sylvia Reid
Pattern Source: other:
I have recommended this project to many of my friends, as
well as to my oldest sister, Betty Bell. Between us we
made three of these Chair sets for the grandchildren in our families. Macy Bell is our favored grandaughter, and my
great neice. She is the inspiration which caused us to
create these sets. She is nine years old, and wanted some
Doll furniture which would fit her Barbie Dolls for her
playhouse. She saw these in the Needlecraft Shop Book
and immediately began to beg us to make her some. After
completing the first set we went on to craft two more
Chair sets for the other two grandaughters for Christmas
presents. I did alter the pattern somewhat by using
double pieces of plastic canvas on the back and front of
the chair to increase the strength and durability of the
chair for a childs use. This assures that the chair will
stand alone, and support the weight of the doll. I would
create this project again, and actually I am in the process
of creating the matching sofa so Macy will have a complete
set.
