some of my best work is the result of learning a new technique and knitting a swatch. I wanted to learn "Magic Loop" circular needle knitting for a hat, stranded color-work and embellishments with crochet and knitted i-cord. Size 8 addi turbo 60", worsted weight yarns. Started with 80 stitches and just kept knitting until I was satisfied with the magic loop method. Low and behold, a hat started to appear on my needles and I just kept knitting. I added and i-cord flower and rhinestone button, then crocheted a picot-edge brim. This is the only item that I have created that I want to keep and wear.
