Catnip Mouse
Created By: M Monica
Craft: crochet
Pattern Source: other: http://tubachingching.wordpress.com/2008/05/06/easy-peasy-catnip-mouse/
I got the pattern from Mollie's Blog, and the link is below. My first one didn't come out great, as I skipped step 8 (kind of important there), but the following ones came out perfect, and the cats didn't care that the first one wasn't as cute to mommy.
I just used scrap yarn and a size F hook and went to town, pretty much. I did experiment with whiskers on the first one, but they didn't stick out to the sides like I wanted, so I ditched them in the "later models".
I will say that it's easier to get the catnip in if you stuff earlier than it suggests in the pattern, but then you do have to worry about spillage. I didn't find it to be much of an issue, and the cats prefer the one with more catnip. No surprises there!
