I made this hat for my neice for when she has "bad hair days" at college. I tried starting from the top down but became very frustrated trying to manage the increases on the DPs. So, I decided to start with circular needles working the pattern backwards. I used an organic cotton without alot of stretch. It turned out more beret looking but still very nice. I have since learned the miracle of the magic circle and knitting with two circular needles so I'm going to try it again working from the top down. Thank you so much for all your patterns and wonderful information!
