Speed Hook Baby Blanket

This is my first ever crocheted project. I made it for my friends new baby, she was born two weeks before I finished, but I was determined to get this done.
I used the suggested yarn colors, it really came out cute.
It took me a while to get used to the speed hook, I actually used a smaller hook with different yarn as a guide. Once I saw the smaller chains and stitches I was off and running. (no I didn't do the whole pattern small, just a swatch.)
I can't wait to do the next one.
