Chanel style toddler skirt set

This project started as a whim; just wanted to knit something... I decided to make a skirt first then added the jacket. It was for my little niece.
I basically created the design myself, with the help of stitch guidelines from some basic patterns. When it came to the jacket, I tried two different collar styles, asked for opinions from friends and colleagues, then decided on what you now see. It was a well received gift, and then tried on by every little toddler girl who could fit in it!
I used two homespun yarns, yellow and pink (I don't recall the exact names), plus some fun fur that I already had.
Fun project!
