my first afghan

I saw this pattern on your site last year but didn't know how to crochet. I ordered the kit on line and it was delivered to my friend Cheryl in Syracuse as I was due to visit her soon after, and I collected it there and brought it home to Ireland. Then I bought a dvd and learned to crochet, along with a friend from the Irish Countrywomen's Association, and set about making the afghan. I had it on the go for a few weeks, and brought it when going overnight to our mobile home, or when relaxing in the garden, or at the end of the day before bed, and I am so thrilled with the result. Thank you Lion Brand for encouraging me to learn to crochet and for the lovely yarn and easy to follow pattern.
